Ken Callaway
President
" I want to see green, growing plants...not red,
runny soil" . With this simple phrase, Ken Callaway sums up a
passion
that began generations before in his family’s love and
commitment to Nature. This legacy, plus Ken’s personal drive to
"figure things out" led him to take his background in Chemical
manufacturing for such diverse industries as mining, textiles
water treatment and paper, and apply it to developing new
products... using technology to repair environmental damage.
"The convergence of technologies we have used in
industry, combined with our somewhat unique manufacturing
capacity in Newnan, GA and the opportunity to make a real
contribution toward reducing greenhouse gases, gave way to the
development of EarthHold. There is no greater excitment than to
see EarthHold work, and to continue the search for new products
in that same vein".
In addition to his "inherited" commitment to
Nature, Ken is an active supporter of local culture, serving as
a volunteer at the Columbus Museum.
As President of Callaway Industries, Ken also
heads Callaway Blue Spring Water and Rocky Branch Garden Center.
Ken Is married, the proud father of four, and a
self-described soccer dad. And when not busy developing new ways
to help fellow gardeners and farmers, he might just be found on
his tractor, mowing the fields at his place near Hamilton
Georgia.
